Overview
Screening questions help you quickly identify candidates who meet your must-have requirements before reviewing their full applications.
💡 Tip: Pick only the questions that truly reflect your must-haves to keep completion fast for candidates.
Add screening questions to your job
Go to your Main Dashboard and click + Add Job.
On the second page of the job creation process, you'll see the Screening Questions section.
Click + Add Screening Question:
From here you can:
Search our bank of questions by keyword.
Remove previously added questions (hit the x).
Browse through our popular Recommended questions or view other common Categories.
Or, ask a Coach for assistance.
Click Continue when finished.
Prioritize Your Questions
To delegate skills as 'Must Haves', click View Criteria & Settings underneath any of your questions.
Toggle on or off:
💡 You don't have to include any Must Have requirements.
Only do so if the answer could be a complete deal breaker because candidates who miss the mark will show up as a 'Low Fit' in your job dashboard.
Next, drag and drop your other questions to place in order of importance:

Applicants will answer your screening questions as part of their application.
Answers appear directly in the Candidate Profile for easy sorting and filtering:
💡 Tip: Use Job Dashboard filters to view only applicants who meet specific responses, such as required certifications or licenses.
Common Questions
Can I write my own screening questions?
No. You select from Wizehire’s built-in question bank. (If on a Growth or Concierge plan: ask your SRM about options for adding custom questions at the account level.)
Can candidates skip screening questions?
Candidates control whether they complete every step. You can follow up with reminders to encourage completion.
Where do I see candidate responses?
Responses appear in the applicant view for that job, alongside the rest of their application details.
