Overview

When you post a job through Wizehire, you'll be asked to add a business address. This address helps job boards like Indeed, Meta and others match your job posting with relevant candidates and affects your visibility across our network of hundreds of job boards.

Choosing the right address ensures your job reaches the right audience.

Choosing Your Business Address

The address you list should match where the job is actually based or where the candidate would primarily work.

  • For local roles: Use the office location where the work happens

  • For remote roles: Use your registered business address or mailing address (even if you don't have a physical office)

  • For hybrid roles: List the primary location where the candidate would spend most of their time, or your headquarters if flexible

  • For multiple offices: If you have 5+ offices, use your primary or headquarters location unless the role is tied to a specific location

πŸ’‘ Helpful Note: We recommend a full street address rather than a PO Box or just city/state. Some job boards require street addresses, and full addresses maximize visibility across all platforms we post to.

Why This Matters

The business address helps you:

  • reach candidates in the right geographic area

  • comply with job board requirements (some boards require full street addresses)

  • maximize visibility across hundreds of job boards

  • ensure your remote roles don't get hidden from candidates anywhere

Common Questions

Will listing my headquarters address hide my remote job from candidates in other cities?

No. Remote is marked as a separate job attribute from location, so candidates anywhere can find and apply for your remote role. The address is for search visibility and job board matching, it won't restrict who sees your job.

Do I have to add an address, or is it optional?

It's optional, but we strongly recommend including one. Jobs without a street address have reduced visibility on job boards like Indeed and can't be posted to Meta at all. If you're posting to multiple job boards or want maximum visibility, including an address is the safer bet.

Can I use a PO Box or coworking space address?

We recommend a street address rather than a PO Box. If you're remote-only or don't have a dedicated office, a coworking space address or your registered business address works fine.

What if I'm a startup with no physical office?

Use your registered business address or mailing address. Many startups don't have a physical office, so using your official business location is standard practice.

What if my job is hybrid between two cities, what do I list?

List the primary location where the candidate would spend most of their time, or your headquarters if it's truly flexible. Job boards treat location as a single data point.

Should I post the same job multiple times with different addresses for different locations?

That depends on how the role functions. If it's truly hybrid/flexible, posting once with your primary location is simplest. If you have separate teams in different cities, posting separately for each location makes sense. Reach out to a Wizehire coach for guidance on your specific setup.

Can I update the address after posting?

Yes. You can update the address in your job post anytime on Wizehire. Note that syncing changes to all job boards takes time.
