Managing Job Locations
Update the location on your existing posting instead of creating a new one. Job boards often flag postings within a 35-mile radius as duplicates.
If you're moving a job to a nearby city, for example within 11 miles, update the location on the current posting rather than creating a new one. This keeps you compliant and avoids duplicate detection.
Location settings don't carry over automatically. You'll need to manually enter the specific city in the location field for each new posting before publishing.
Handling Closed Job Postings
If you close a job posting, you can reopen it later without losing access to your candidates. Wizehire keeps all applicant data and resumes, so you can keep emailing candidates and scheduling interviews even after a posting is closed.
Avoiding Duplicate Postings
Don't create a new posting for a role if the original is already active. Job boards expect one posting per open role.
If you've accidentally created a duplicate, close the newer one. Update the original posting as needed, then reopen it.
Keeping Each Listing to One Role
Each job posting should represent a single role with one clear title and description. Combining two distinct roles into one listing, for example a Sales Manager and Office Admin posted together, can confuse candidates and delay approval.
If you're hiring for two roles, create two separate postings instead of combining them into one.
Keeping Your Company Information Consistent
Your About Company section should name only one business, and that name needs to match your Wizehire account. If the section mentions multiple business names, or a name that doesn't match your account, job boards may flag the ad.
