Overview

Refreshing your job post updates it as “new” on job boards, increasing visibility and helping you attract more applicants.

Over time, job posts lose visibility. Refreshing helps bring your post back to the top and in front of more candidates.

Why refreshing matters

Refreshing your job:

  • re-posts it as new on job boards

  • increases visibility to job seekers

  • helps attract more applicants

💡 Helpful note: Visibility plays a major role in today’s hiring environment. Refreshing your post can significantly improve applicant flow.

When to refresh your job

You’ll see a prompt when your job is eligible:

  • “Refresh post for better visibility” appears under the job title

This indicates your job can be refreshed to regain visibility.

How to refresh your job

  • click Refresh from the prompt
    or

  • click Manage next to your job

  • select Refresh Job

If you used a Wizehire templated post

  • Wizehire will automatically generate refreshed content

  • review the updated version on the right side

You can:

  • edit any section directly

  • update responsibilities or qualifications

  • use Scout AI to regenerate content

When finished:

  • click Save and Publish

If you used a non-templated post

  • click Refresh Job

  • update your content to improve “freshness”

Use Scout AI to help rewrite sections if needed.

How to improve freshness

To reach 100% freshness, update key parts of your job:

  • job title (most impactful)

  • compensation

  • responsibilities and qualifications

  • job description

💡 Helpful note: Job boards weigh title and compensation heavily, so even small updates here can significantly boost visibility.

Example update

  • “Outside Sales Representative – $70,000”
→ “Outbound Account Executive – $75,000+ at plan, commission”

Small changes like this can make your job appear new again.

Final step

Once your updates are complete:

  • confirm your freshness score is high

  • click Refresh Job or Save and Publish

Your updated post will be pushed back out to job boards.
