How do I set up the integration between Wizehire and Paycor?

Overview

Seamlessly transfer new hires from Wizehire to Paycor to simplify onboarding and payroll setup.

The Wizehire and Paycor integration allows you to securely send new hire information directly into Paycor, reducing manual data entry and helping your team move faster from hiring to onboarding. Because this integration requires secure credentials and permissions, setup includes a few guided steps with your Paycor admin and Wizehire team.


Eligibility

This integration is available for clients on Wizehire’s Growth and Concierge plans.

  • Quickstart and Essentials users will see a Contact Sales option in the Marketplace

  • Growth and Concierge users can Request Integration directly

💡 This integration requires coordination between your Paycor admin and Wizehire. Your SRM will help guide the process.


Step 1: Request the Integration in Wizehire (Growth and Concierge plan tiers)

  • Go to the Marketplace in Wizehire

  • Search for Paycor

  • Click Request Integration

After submitting your request, your Wizehire team will begin coordinating setup with you.


Step 2: Complete Setup in Paycor

Once setup begins, Wizehire will provide your team with the following:

  • Paycor activation URL

  • Scope

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

Your Paycor Perform Admin (the person who manages your Paycor account) will:

  • Open the activation URL while logged into Paycor

  • Click through the setup steps

  • Select which legal entities (companies) to grant access to

    • Capture the legal entity ID’s to send to Wizehire

  • Complete setup and generate credentials

At the end of this process, your Paycor admin will receive:

  • Access token

  • Refresh token

They will send these credentials along with legal entity ID’s back to Wizehire to complete the connection.

💡 The Paycor Perform Admin is typically someone on your HR or payroll team with admin-level access.


Step 3: Finalize the Integration in Wizehire

Once Wizehire receives the credentials:

  • Our team will enter the tokens into your account

  • The integration will be completed on the backend

No additional action is required from your side once this step is finished.


Step 4: Export New Hires from Wizehire to Paycor

  • Move your candidate into the Hired column on your job dashboard

  • Click Start to add them to Payroll

  • Select Add Team Member in the Paycor tile

  • Complete any missing details

  • Click Finish adding to Payroll

Your new hire will be sent to Paycor.


Step 5: Locate Hires in Paycor

  • Log in to Paycor

  • Navigate to your onboarding or employee records section

  • Locate your new hire

  • Complete any remaining onboarding or payroll details

💡 New hires are typically organized by most recent, so they should appear near the top.

Do I need admin access in Paycor to set this up?

Yes. A Paycor Perform Admin must complete the setup and generate credentials.

What information is shared with Paycor?

Basic new hire details such as name, email, and role information are sent from Wizehire.

Why is this setup more manual than other integrations?

Paycor requires secure credential sharing and explicit permission selection for legal entities, which adds a few extra steps.

Can I choose which companies to include?

Yes. Your Paycor admin selects which legal entities (companies) Wizehire can access during setup.
