Overview
Account switching allows users with access to multiple Wizehire accounts to move between their main account and additional accounts from the Main Dashboard.
This is helpful for businesses with multiple locations, brands, or related accounts that need one user to manage hiring activity across accounts without logging in and out each time.
Account switching must be enabled by Wizehire for each user who needs access. If you do not see the option to switch accounts, contact your Wizehire Coach for help.
Access by account
Account switching is available by request for users who need access to related accounts.
Permissions are set per user, so enabling account switching for one user does not automatically enable it for every user on the account.
What you can do with account switching
Depending on your permissions and plan, account switching may allow you to:
Create, view, edit, refresh, sponsor and close jobs across additional accounts
Manage hiring activity (messaging, interview scheduling, stages, etc) from the job dashboard
Adjust available settings for an additional account
Access campaigns and cohorts for additional accounts, when enabled
Return to your main account at any time
Some actions may not be available if they are limited by the account’s plan or your user permissions.
How to switch accounts
From your Main Dashboard:
Look for the account switcher at the top of the page
Select the account you want to access
Wait for the dashboard to update to the selected account
Review the yellow banner at the top of the screen to confirm which account you are currently using
Use the banner or account switcher to return to your main account when you are finished
What to know when using another account
When you switch into another account, you are working inside that account based on the permissions assigned to you.
Some settings are specific to your personal user profile, not the account you switched into. These settings may be grayed out while you are using another account.
Examples of user-specific settings include:
User information
Email notifications
Calendar connection
To update these settings, switch back to your main account.
Account switching and job posting
Account switching is primarily designed to help users manage settings and hiring activity across related accounts.
Depending on your permissions and plan, you may be able to create, edit, refresh, close, reopen, or sponsor jobs on an additional account. If you cannot complete one of these actions, it may be limited by your account plan or user permissions.
If you are on a view-only plan, you may be able to view and edit jobs for additional accounts, but you will not be able to post new jobs.
Account switching and campaigns or cohorts
If your team uses campaigns or cohorts, account switching must be enabled before you can create or edit campaigns and cohorts for additional accounts.
If you need this access and do not see the option, contact your Wizehire Coach.
Common Questions
Why don’t I see the option to switch accounts?
Account switching must be enabled by Wizehire for each user. If you do not see the account switcher on your Main Dashboard, contact your Wizehire Coach.
Can everyone on my team switch accounts once this is enabled?
No. Account switching is enabled per user. Each user who needs access must be granted account switching individually.
Can I change settings for an additional account?
Yes, you may be able to adjust available settings for an additional account, depending on your permissions. Some settings are tied to your personal user profile and can only be updated from your main account.
Why are some settings grayed out?
Some settings, like user information, email notifications, and calendar connection, are specific to your personal user profile. To update those settings, switch back to your main account.
Can I post jobs from another account?
It depends on your permissions and plan. If your plan or permissions do not allow job posting, you may still be able to view or edit jobs, but you will not be able to create new ones.
Can I sponsor jobs from another account?
It depends on your permissions and plan. If the additional account’s plan does not allow sponsored jobs, you will not be able to sponsor jobs from that account.
Can I manage campaigns and cohorts for another account?
Yes, if account switching has been enabled and your permissions allow access to campaigns and cohorts.
