At Wizehire, we know how important it is to find the most qualified candidates quickly and efficiently. That’s why you can search applicant resumes by keyword within each job posting.
💡 Resume keyword search helps you zero in on licenses, certifications, or experience mentioned in candidate resumes.
How to search by keyword
Step 1 — Open the Job Dashboard
Navigate to the specific job posting where you’d like to search through applicant resumes.
Step 2 — Use the Search Function
In the top left corner of the job dashboard, locate the Search bar.
Type in the keyword or phrase you want to search for (examples: Certified, Real Estate License, Manager).
Step 3 — View Filtered Results
The system filters the applicants and displays only those whose resumes contain your keyword.
Candidate order remains unchanged (newest to oldest).
Important Notes:
Keyword Search is Job-Specific: This feature only works within individual job dashboards, not across all jobs.
Resume Content: The search scans both plain text and rich text within resumes. Spelling must match exactly — partial words will not be recognized.

Where it’s used | Inside a single job dashboard | Inside a single job dashboard |
How it works | Matches exact words/phrases that appear in resumes | Filters based on screening questions - if answered (e.g., location, experience, answers) |
Best for | Finding specific skills, licenses, or certifications mentioned in resumes | Narrowing applicants by required qualifications and screening questions |
Example | Search for “CPA license” | Filter for “5+ years experience” or “Yes to required license” |
💡 Use both together for the most effective candidate shortlist.
