How do I nurture candidates without using Wizehire Campaigns?

Keep strong candidates engaged using hiring stages, bulk messaging, and reminders to build a future talent pipeline.

Overview

Not every great candidate is the right fit right now. Building a talent pipeline helps you stay connected with strong applicants who may be a better fit for future openings.

While Campaigns are available on Growth and Concierge plans, Quickstart and Essentials users can still nurture candidates by organizing them into a dedicated hiring stage and sending periodic bulk messages.

Create a nurturing workflow

Consider creating a custom hiring stage called:

  • Nurture

  • Future Fit

  • Talent Pipeline

  • Keep in Touch

  • Strong Candidate Pool

Move candidates into this stage when:

  • They interviewed well but another candidate was selected

  • They are qualified but timing isn't right

  • They are pursuing a required license or certification

  • You may have future openings that match their skills

  • They expressed interest in working for your company later

Stay in touch with bulk messaging

Once candidates are in your nurture stage, schedule regular reminders to reconnect.

Many employers find success checking in every:

  • 30 days

  • 60 days

  • 90 days

You can create calendar reminders for yourself or your hiring team to send a bulk message to candidates in the nurture stage.

To send a bulk message:

  • Open the Job Dashboard

  • Select the checkbox by your nurture hiring stage

  • Click Email

  • Create your message (or use a pre-saved, reusable template)

  • Send to the group (they will not see who else is cc'd)

What should I send?

Your messages don't need to be complicated. The goal is simply to maintain the relationship.

Consider sharing:

  • Updates about your company

  • New openings

  • Hiring event invitations

  • Licensing or certification check-ins

  • Seasonal hiring opportunities

  • A simple "just checking in" message

Example nurture message

Hi [First Name],

I hope you're doing well. We wanted to reach out and let you know you're still on our radar as a strong candidate.

While we don't have the right opportunity available today, we'd love to stay connected. If your availability, experience, or career goals have changed, we'd be happy to hear from you.

Thank you again for your interest in our company.

Best,

[Your Name]
